Bradford firefighters clean up for charities (11 photos)

More than $2,700 was raised at annual car wash in Canadian Tire parking lot where there was a steady stream of vehicles driving support for good causes

The annual car wash event hosted by Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services this past Saturday in the Canadian Tire parking lot brought in over $2,700 for local charities.

Sparky the Fire Dog was out on Holland Street waving at passing vehicles, drawing attention to the car wash in the parking lot where he was also available inside for photo ops with the kids.

A steady stream of vehicles kept firefighters busy and, for a donation, vehicles were power-washed using the aerial ladder truck and fire hoses then hand dried to a sparkling finish.

The donations will support fundraising for local charities and community groups.
