The Bradford School of Dance held its annual Christmas performance at the BWG Library on Saturday afternoon, bringing lots of smiles and cheers just in time for the holidays.

The 45 minute show in the Zima Room kicked off with Miss Pegi singing a few Christmas classics like Feliz Navidad and Here Comes Santa Claus.

The main act, a story about two sisters from Bradford planning their own Christmas Party, featured numbers in various styles of dance, including acro, jazz, ballet and tap.

Each piece blended into the next as part of a narrative developed and choreographed by dance teachers Miss Jane, Miss Pegi and Miss Hillary.

"They (the students and teachers) did it during class time and wove it together with a story," explained dance teacher, Miss Jane.

This is the group's second performance of this show. They first performed it at Bradford Valley Care Community last weekend, and Miss Jane said it was very well received by the residents there.

Every year the group performs at both the library and Bradford Valley.

Dance mom, Jen Lambie was in the audience waiting to watch her nine-year-old daughter, Sarah perform. She says Sarah loves to dance, and is excited for her first Christmas show with the school.

"She is really loving it, it's good for her confidence," said Lambie.
