Bradford sisters wrapping gifts at the leisure centre all this week

Bradford sisters wrapping gifts to raise money for their food hamper campaign

The Dahlgren sisters will be selling crafts like this Christmas Planter, to raise money for A Bradford Christmas. SUBMITTED

Emily and Sarah Dahlgreen are the two sisters behind A Bradford Christmas campaign, raising money to help fund Christmas hampers that will be distributed by The Bradford Helping Hand Foodbank next week.

But their hampers are different than the ones the food bank puts together. Instead, theirs will include more of the fixings and little extras such as maple syrup, paper napkins, chocoaltes, speciality crackers, nuts, pancake mix and Christmas cookies.

Each hamper will include $75 worth of specialized items, customized to each client's dietary needs. They will be distributed along with the big box food hampers collected and prepared by The Bradford Helping Hand Foodbank.

Throughout the fall the girls created fall decor pieces to sell at the local farmer's market and other local vendor events to help with their fundraising.

To help ramp up their funding, they are selling more of the Christmas decor as well as wrapping gifts at the BWG Leisure Centre every night this week from 4 - 9 p.m.

They will be stationed in “Community Corner”, which is right in the main lobby of the centre.
