Bradford students kick off summer with water play

The event included a Freezie Stop

At St. Charles Catholic School in the Green Valley area of Bradford, teachers found a great way to celebrate the end of school and the start of summer for the school’s youngest students.

They held a Water Play Day this week.

Wet sponge throws, water balloons, water games, jumping through a kid-sized sprinkler — the students brought towels, swimsuits and a change of dry clothing, and they came prepared to get wet.

And to make the morning extra-special, one of the stations was a Freezie Stop, where the students could sit and enjoy the frozen treats.

Thursday was the final day of school, as June 29 is a PA day for all local schools.
