Bradford West Gwillimbury church raises money for school scholarships (3 photos)

Greater Life Community Church is all about faith and community outreach

Greater Life Community Church is all about faith, and outreach to the community.

Greater Life hosts an annual free Thanksgiving dinner in October and partners with Kidergy indoor playground to host a day of fun for kids on Aug. 25 when members hand out backpacks stuffed with donated school supplies for the return to school.

And this year, said Pastor Eaton Hope Grant, there are plans for a new project.

“I want to devote one or two – it would be amazing to do three – scholarships, to students going to college or university for the first time,” said the Pastor.

All of that outreach takes money, which is why Greater Life Community Church held a fundraising Gala on Saturday night, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church hall in Bradford.

Families dressed in their best for the party, which included music by a DJ, a gourmet dinner of Chicken Cordon Bleu and fish in lemon sauce, and a fundraising Silent Auction.

The Pentecostal community church has big plans this year, its sixth anniversary, said Grant, plans that include a “September to Remember… Each week we’re going to have a special speaker!”

Greater Life Community Church holds Sunday worship at St. John’s Presbyterian (10 Sideroad and Line 8 BWG) at 2 p.m.; Innisfil Bible Study on Mondays at 7:30 p.m., and Bradford Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact Pastor Eaton Grant at 647-718-7849 or [email protected].
