NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY
*************************
After a successful community clean-up campaign in 2021 and 2022, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is happy to share the weeklong event is returning this spring.

This is a great opportunity for residents to come together, help tackle waste, and support a clean and healthy community.

Community Clean-up Week will take place from Monday, April 17 to Sunday, April 23, 2023. Throughout the week, and at their convenience, we welcome residents to participate — pick up a clean-up kit and start collecting waste around their neighbourhoods.

The clean-up kits include garbage bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, instructions, and safety tips. Clean-up kits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no registration required. Participants can collect their kits at the BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave.), starting Wednesday, April 12, while supplies last. Pickup is available during our regular hours of operation (Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m).

Residents are encouraged to tackle public parks, greenspaces, or trails in BWG, and can participate at any time throughout the week (April 17 to 23, 2023). Please keep safety top of mind when selecting a day, time, and location, and as you collect waste.

We would love to see your before and after photos and/or videos. Show your support and participation by tagging @townofBWG and using the hashtag #BWGCommunityCleanUp.

We would also like to thank Sweet B’s Bakery, Firehouse Subs, and Perfect SZN Bradford, who have graciously donated coupons for the kits.
