Bradford's 'The Loving Soul' selling scents for a good cause

Loredana Battistella of 'The Loving Soul' is selling her handmade self-care rollerballs with net proceeds going towards a local family in need

For the fourth year in a row, Bradford's Loredana Battistella of The Loving Soul is hosting a holiday fundraiser for those in need.

This year, net proceeds from her aromatherapy roller bottles will go toward a family in need.

Each roller bottle is filled with stones infused with coconut-based oil and essential oils. There are a variety of different rollerballs to choose from including Tiger's Eye, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, White Topaz, Blackjade, Fluorite, Lapis Lazuli, and Green Agate.

"Each synergy is different," she explained.

Each roller bottle is $15 and comes in a small gift bag with a card explaining the properties of each crystal.

"It makes a nice little gift," said Battistella. All net proceeds will go to a local family in need.

"There is a family here that is struggling and I'd like to help them out," she said.

The bottles were all made by Battistella and are part of her new all-natural, plant-based vegan beauty line, The Loving Scent. She also offers reflexology and reiki services.

"It's all just about healing the body, naturally," she said.

In addition to her new body care product line, she has added a new brand to her business, The Art of Expression, selling Florentine paper and journals from Florence, Italy.

"I love to journal and I truly believe journaling is healing," she said. "I fell in love with this paper when I was in Florence...it was just something that resonated with me...the art of writing has been lost, and there is something beautiful that comes from receiving a handwritten note on beautiful paper."

Last year, Battistella did another fundraiser, selling her homemade self-care gift packages with proceeds going to Out of the Cold Cafe, in 2020, she sponsored a family for Christmas, and in 2019 donated profits from her soap sales to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
