This past weekend’s Spring Book Sale at the BWG Library was a roaring success, with $3,651.50 raised for the Bradford West Gwillimbury Friends of the Library.

The local charity hosts the sale three times a year, with all proceeds going to support BWG Library programs and initiatives.

“The spring book sale was a resounding success! The Friends of the Library volunteers were thrilled to see so many people of all ages coming by to stock up on their summer reading,” said Friends’ chair Jennifer Harrison.

“This sale is a staple in the community – with wonderful books for a dollar or two each. Some families took home armfuls, and some left with that one special find. We are so grateful to everyone’s support for this fundraiser. Every dollar raised helps bring programs and events to our library.”

Stay tuned for the next book sale this fall, taking place the weekend of Oct. 18-20 at the BWG Library.

The Friends will also be at the upcoming Bradford Farmers’ Market with a pop-up book sale on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
