CADET'S CORNER: Cadets thankful for community support

Cadets were out in full swing this past weekend asking for donations in return for a Air Cadets tag in support of the local Squadron

Cadet’s Corner is a weekly feature from the local Air Cadets squadron.

A huge 37 thank you to the Bradford community from 37 Orville Hand Air Cadet Squadron.

Wow, the town showed up big time this past weekend to let the Air Cadets know how welcome they are. Cadets were out in full swing this past weekend asking for donations in return for an Air Cadets tag in support of the local Squadron.

Thank you to our community partners for allowing the cadets to use their locations, Canadian Tire, Food Basics, Home Hardware, Ingoglias Plaza, No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys, Walmart, and Zehrs.

A big thank you to all our community members for giving generously and a huge shout out to the gentleman at Walmart who not only gave to all 4 of the cadets who were stationed there but also went into the restaurant on-site and purchased a $20 gift card for the Cadets to use on their break. This community is amazing.

Thank you for your generous donations and for showing our cadets you appreciate and support them.

Our Cadets are happily giving back to this wonderful community by marching in the Remembrance Day Parade on Nov. 6, honouring local veterans by assisting in cemetery clean up and saying veterans' names out loud while taking a moment to honour their service to this country in No Stone Left Alone, on Nov. 5 and by helping out in the Poppy Campaign, which kicks off Oct. 28.

Thank you again to all of Bradford from 37 Orville Hand Air Cadet Squadron.

37 Orville Hand Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron continually accepts recruit applications throughout the year. Completed application packages will be accepted both online or in-person during our Thursday training nights at Fieldcrest Elementary School from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
