When the doors at Churchill United Church opened for Saturday’s Christmas Bazaar, the bake table was filled with squares, cookies, loaves and pies – and shoppers quickly snapped up the treats at bargain prices.
The Church Bazaar also offered a range of crafts, from hand-crafted cards to the woodworking of Evergreen Studio, plus a Silent Auction, White Elephant Table, raffles and draws.
Visitors were invited to drop off a donation of new mittens or socks, to be distributed to those in need this holiday season. In exchange, they received a ballot on a draw for a gift basket, filled with treats donated by church members and the community.
There was also a tea room, where friends could gather and enjoy a break before heading off to the next holiday bazaar.
