NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY
****************************
After a successful Community Clean-up campaign in 2021, the Town of BWG is happy to share the week-long event is returning this spring. Sponsored by the Bradford Lions Club, this is a great opportunity for residents to come together, help tackle waste, and support a clean and healthy community.

Community Clean-up Week will take place from Sunday, April 17 - Saturday, April 23, 2022. Throughout the week, and at their convenience, we welcome residents to participate – pick up a ‘clean-up kit' and start collecting waste around their neighbourhoods.

The clean-up kits include garbage bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, instructions, and safety tips. Clean-up kits will be available on a first-come-first-served basis with no registration required. Participants can collect their kits at the BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave.), starting Wednesday, April 13 while supplies last. Pick-up is available during our regular hours of operation (Monday-Friday between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

Residents are encouraged to tackle public parks, green spaces, or trails in BWG and can participate at any time throughout the week (April 17-23, 2022). Please keep safety top of mind when selecting a day, time, and location, and as you collect waste.

We would love to see your before and after photos and/or videos. Show your support and participation by tagging @townofBWG and using the hashtag #BWGCommunityCleanUp.

Thank you once again to the Bradford Lions Club for sponsoring the 2022 Community Clean-up Week.

We would also like to thank Sweet B’s Bakery, Firehouse Subs, and Perfect SZN Bradford, who have graciously donated coupons for the kits.
