With extreme heat and humidity today and tomorrow, residents are reminded that the Town of Innisfil has a number of cooling centres open to the public throughout the summer. These facilities are air conditioned, offer free bottles of water and are typically open during extreme heat events.

Today, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit issued a heat warning for the local area, including Innisfil. Residents can use Innisfil Transit to travel to the Innisfil Recreational Complex, Innisfil Town Hall and the Lakeshore branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library for the flat rate of $4. For more information please visit www.innisfil.ca/transit.
