Simcoe County District School Board has reported one case of COVID at Admiral Collingwood Elementary School in an update posted today (Sept. 13).

The update includes five cases at Simcoe County schools, including one at Collingwood Collegiate Institute, which was confirmed on Friday.

The other three cases reported today include one at Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School in Angus, one at East Oro Public School, and one at Alliston Union Public School.

A classroom at the Alliston school is closed, but no classrooms have been closed in the other four schools.

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board has not posed a case update since Friday, Sept. 10. At that time, there was a single case at St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School in Bradford. One classroom is closed.

School boards are required to post regular, public updates on COVID cases linked to their schools. A case in a school does not automatically indicate that person caught COVID-19 at the school.

Anyone who was in close contact with the infected person will be notified by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
