The search for employment can be overwhelming and filled with hurdles. But there is a community and support network out there for women to take advantage of.

Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie’s Breakfast Club is a nine-week pre-employment program designed to help motivate and inspire women to continue their job search.

The program supports Dress for Success clients as they address any possible obstacles to securing employment. Through the tools and resources they receive, participants are empowered to continue and succeed in their job searches.

Participants set goals, take part in personality assessment, and learn from facilitators about topics such as job interviews, career stepping stones, mentorships, motivation, confidence, mental health, support networks and more.

Breakfast Club is starting up again on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The workshops will be held every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., ending on Nov. 16.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program is running virtually. If participants attend seven of the nine weeks they will receive a salon gift card and a grocery gift card.

All female job-seekers are welcome and the program is entirely free.
