Empower Simcoe is pleased to announce the return on April 1 of the Landlord Partnership Program with a new goal of supporting those individuals in our community that are chronically homeless.

This county-wide incentive-laden program aims to increase affordable housing stock for those needing help navigating the current rental market in Simcoe County.

"We're very grateful to area landlords, our community partners and those who operate in the housing market, who are helping those most vulnerable and at-risk," says Dr. Claudine Cousins, Empower Simcoe's chief executive officer. "Empower Simcoe's Regional Housing Support Services Program is committed in its efforts to end homelessness in Simcoe County."

Empower Simcoe is a charitable, non-profit organization established in 1953. Empower Simcoe has provided community housing services for over 30 years.

Empower Simcoe's Regional Housing Support Services Program offers a range of services related to housing to members of the community of Simcoe County. Support is provided to community members at risk of homelessness and experiencing homelessness through the Simcoe County Regional Housing First Program and Housing Resource Centres in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, and Collingwood.

Empower Simcoe's Landlord Partnership Program is a push to educate and raise awareness in our community about the effects of homelessness and a call to all private market landlords, property managers, and those who operate in the housing market to help those most vulnerable and at-risk.
