INNISFIL - Friday Harbour Resort in Innisfil will celebrate their third annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Open to the public, the tree will be set aglow at 5:30 p.m. followed by a spectacular musical light show and breathtaking display of fireworks at 5:45 p.m. Photos with Santa will be available following the presentation.
Holiday vendors including Kreative Edge, Epicure, April Morgan Naturals, Devon Mai Boutique & Designs, Neil’s Hot Sauce & Cutting Boards, Laura Ford Design, Lila Loves Organics, and Scentsy will be set up along the Boardwalk offering shoppers unique holiday gift ideas.
ADM Design Inc. will feature unique ornaments, artwork, lights, centerpieces, table wear, gift items and furniture that will have your home ready for the holidays. FH Fine Food will feature samples of some of popular products as well as FH exclusive gift ideas.
Delicious delights will be served up by Bruno’s Bakery, Holy Chuck Burgers, Beavertails, Lalonde’s Maple Shack, and Starbucks®. Guests can also book a dinner reservation at Fishbone Kitchen + Wine Bar or the newly opened Avenue Cibi e Vini restaurant. Grown-ups can enjoy specialty cocktails at the Holiday Spirit Lounge and get stocked up for their after party back at home with a quick trip to the LCBO.
The entire Resort will be abuzz with activities for kids of all ages. Little ones can keep busy in the Kid’s Zone with face painting, glitter tattoos, a magician, and postcards to Santa. Friday Harbour’s outdoor skating rink will be open for all to enjoy, and skates, snowshoes, cross-country skis and fat bikes can be rented at the Outdoor Adventure Centre on the Beach.
Guests can commemorate the event in a giant snow globe selfie station (by donation to the Innisfil Life Centre) and take in a special performance by the Barrie Soundwaves Quartet. Warming campfires along the Boardwalk will keep everyone cozy as the night carries on.
A toy and food drive, in support of the Innisfil Life Center, will be on-site. A festive sleigh will mark the area in which donations can be made to support the charity.
Celebrations will continue on December 1st with the Holiday Market taking place again from 2pm to 6pm, more skating with Santa, a second presentation by the Barrie Soundwaves Quartet, an encore presentation of the musical light show and more photos with Santa.
