Hunters and anglers across the province can now purchase a single Outdoors Card and licences from the comfort of their before heading out to the woods and waterways.

The province has launched a new licensing service that adds options for buying hunting and fishing licences, with new mobile features and a single Outdoors Card.

To fish or hunt in Ontario, a valid licence is required, which includes:

  • an Outdoors Card (valid for three calendar years)
  • fishing and/or hunting licence tags (valid for one or three calendar years)

You will need an Outdoors Card before you can buy a licence tag, which is either a separate document carried with your plastic Outdoors Card or directly printed on the back of your Outdoors Card. You must carry both an Outdoors Card and appropriate licence tag when you fish or hunt.

Outdoors Cards, fishing and small game licences can be purchased here, at participating ServiceOntario locations or at any of the 700 licence issuers across the province.

The first Outdoors Card costs $9.68, plus a $2 service fee and taxes. Licence costs vary depending on the type.
