From the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury:
The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is working to protect the health and safety or our community during the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. If there are any impacts to public programs and services they will be posted on the town website.
What the Town of BWG is doing:
- At this time there are NO impacts to town-run programs and services. Unless the local situation changes or we are directed otherwise by a public health agency, the Town of BWG is operating in "business as usual" mode.
- We are staying in close contact with health agencies including the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) and Public Health Ontario to stay up-to-date on the local situation and ensure we are acting proactively and reactively in keeping with their recommendations.
- We have increased our cleaning regimens at all facilities for the safety of both staff and the public.
- Anyone who has visited an affected area is asked to delay their visit to our facilities, as recommended by local health agencies
How to protect yourself and others:
The SMDHU advises you to take these everyday steps to reduce exposure to the virus and protect your health:
- wash your hands often with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers
- sneeze and cough into your sleeve
- avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- avoid close contact with people who are sick
- stay home if you are sick
- clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
