Lorne Macrae and Charles Macrae of Innisfil can ‘find their possible’ after winning a Lotto 6/49 second prize worth $73,147.50 in the Sept. 27, 2023 Lotto 6/49 draw.

Lorne and Charles, a father and son duo, have been playing the lottery together for the past five years and will take turns purchasing and checking their tickets.

Lorne decided to check their tickets while at the store.

“I saw the prize amount and I asked the clerk to double check. It was a nice surprise,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I went home to tell Charles and the next thing I knew he was taking off to check the ticket again.”

“We’re happy and excited. It’s a nice little boost,” Lorne smiled.

They plan to invest their win.

Lotto 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multimillion-dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play.

The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5-million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1-million prize, or the growing jackpot that starts at $10 million and can exceed $60 million. Click here for more information about the new Lotto 6/49.
