Main Street Newmarket closed near Davis for gas leak (4 photos)

Emergency services on the scene, road temporarily blocked from Queen to Simcoe

Main Street is closed temporarily south of Davis Drive due to a reported natural gas leak Tuesday evening in Newmarket.

Emergency services and Enbridge were on the scene at about 7 p.m. Dec. 21, when the smell of gas was strong.

The road is blocked from Queen Street to Simcoe Street, for the investigation near Domino's Pizza at 47 Main St. S.

A repair crew with back-hoe and vacuum truck were also on the scene.
