Later this month, about 30 young piano students from two local piano studios will be on stage at St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Bradford, in a Benefit Concert for the Helping Hand Food Bank.

Each student participating in the concert has been asked to bring in a donation of $10, and a bag filled with non-perishable food items.

Zuzana Gabor, founder of Piano Music Studio, said that more than a dozen students from her studio will be performing at the fundraiser. She explained that a portion of the funds will go to the Ontario Music Teachers’ Association, to support scholarships; the rest, and all of the donated food, will be going to the local food bank.

The concert takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 2940 Sideroad 10 in Bradford.

Gabor invited the public to attend, and support the young talent. Admission is free, although donations will be welcomed.

The church is fully handicapped-accessible.
