If you missed the BWG Studio Art Tour, there is still time to check out work by local artists this week.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is showing about 20 pieces of art at the BWG Public Library Sept. 18 to Oct. 31, with a reception there to meet the artists on Sept. 18 from 6-7 p.m.

The art was submitted as part of a contest run by the town’s Arts and Culture Advisory Committee with the goal to select three works of art that best represent BWG and use the images on gifts and souvenirs for the town.

The art will be hung in the second floor gallery space near the elevator.

Following the reception, the three winners of the contest — Leslie Buxton, Jim Woods and Diane Gray — will be announced at the start of the BWG council meeting in the Zima Room on the main floor of the library.

Council will also present certificates to the two youth competitors: Natalie Barkan and Apisha Satheeshkumar, and Ashmenaa Satheeshkumar.
