Bradford Lions, seen here in front of the Chev Silverado, outside the Bradford Library, still have plenty of Mammoth Draw tickets available, before the next Early Bird Draw.

The price of a ticket for the 2019 Bradford Lions Mammoth Draw may have gone up, but ticket holders get a lot of bang for their bucks.

Each $120 ticket is not only eligible for $115,222.15 in prizes, including the second prize of a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu, and the grand prize of a 2019 Chev Silverado 1500 4WD double-cab pick-up truck, it admits two to the draw evening at the Bradford Community Centre on Sept. 7.

Draw night includes a beef buffet dinner, social gaming evening with professional dealers, live entertainment by Legends – this year, Fresh Horses, a tribute to Garth Brooks – and dancing to music by DJ Vinnie Vegas and VJ Luka Miller.

Then there’s the excitement of the elimination-style draw, with the last ticket left in the drum winning the pick-up truck. Only 1,700 tickets have been printed.

Tickets are available at the Mammoth Draw display outside the Bradford Library, selected retailers in Bradford, from any Lion or by calling 905-775-9170.

Tickets are selling fast, but there’s another reason to buy a Mammoth Draw ticket as soon as possible: the next early bird draw for $1,000 in cash will take place at Carrot Fest, Aug. 17, on the main stage at 5 p.m.

There are three Early Bird draws in all. The first took place at the Canada Day celebration; the final Early Bird will be on Aug. 24 during Lions Community Awareness Day. Each Early Bird winning ticket is returned to the drum to be eligible for the main draw.

If that isn’t enough, there’s one final reason to purchase a ticket: All of the money raised by the Bradford Lions goes back into the community.

The Bradford Lions have supported the BWG Leisure Centre’s aquatic centre, ball diamonds at Magani Park, Southlake Regional Health Centre, the new Henderson Park Fieldhouse, minor sports, school awards, the BWG Santa Claus Parade and Helping Hand Food Bank, and a long list of other causes.

The Mammoth Draw is an opportunity to help the Lions help others.
