One-stop shop insurance business opens in BWG

"Our customers are like family."

ICD Insurance Brokers Ltd. has been providing customers with the full range of insurance products since 1931. Now, it has opened a satellite office in Bradford West Gwillimbury, and representatives Denise Wiscombe and Shannon Maxwell could not be more delighted.

“I wanted to be present where most of my clients have been for the past 10 years,” said Maxwell, a broker specializing in auto and home insurance, as well as commercial, life and travel.

“My kids have been raised here — and they still live here,” said Wiscombe, a commercial business broker, and life and health insurance specialist.

ICD has several other offices in Keswick, Maple and Newmarket, “but we really wanted to be a presence in Bradford.”

The office is located upstairs in the Evans DeVries Higgins building at 21 Holland St. W.

Although its doors have been open since January, it officially opened May 26 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

It offers a “one-stop shop” approach to covering all insurance needs, from business, commercial and farm, to life, home and auto, and an “old-fashioned” approach to service, they said.

When the calls started after the recent windstorm, Wiscombe and Maxwell responded immediately.

“Our customers are like family,” said Maxwell.

ICD Insurance Brokers Ltd. is located at 21 Holland St. W., upper level, and can be reached at 905-830-9000. Wiscombe can be reached at extension 4114 or [email protected], and Maxwell at extension 4208 or [email protected].
