Paramedics collect more than 470 toys, over 600 pounds of food so far

County of Simcoe Paramedic Services kicked off the 17th annual Toy Drive on Nov. 13, 2019, so far collecting 472 toys, 619 lbs of food and more than $700 in cash and gift cards.

The Toy Drive benefits local children and families during the holiday season. Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted at various locations and parades across Simcoe County until Dec. 13, 2019.

Over the next week, Paramedics will be collecting donations at the following locations:

Nov. 29, 2019
Midland Walmart Collection : 9:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

Nov. 30, 2019
Midland Santa Claus Parade: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Orillia Walmart Collection: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tottenham Vince's Market Collection: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tottenham Santa Claus Parade: 2:30 p.m.
Wasaga Walmart Collection: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Washago Santa Claus Parade: 7 p.m.

Dec. 1, 2019
Elmvale Santa Claus Parade: 1 p.m.
Stroud Foodland Collection: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Lisle Santa Claus Parade : 1 p.m.

Donations can be made at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre, 1110 Highway 26 in Midhurst between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and at all County of Simcoe Paramedic Services stations, where outdoor drop boxes are now available (please do not leave monetary donations in drop boxes – only non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys).
