MIDHURST – County of Simcoe Paramedic Services kick off their annual Toy Drive starting Nov. 15, 2019. The 17th County of Simcoe Paramedic Services Toy Drive seeks donations of new, unwrapped toys for local children and families during the holiday season. County paramedics will be volunteering at various locations across Simcoe County until Dec. 13.
During the last 16 years, the Toy Drive has collected more than 78,000 toys, 30,000 lbs of food and over $155,000 in monetary and gift card donations for families across Simcoe County.
“The holidays can be exceptionally stressful for families in need,” said Warden George Cornell. “We’re grateful to our generous residents and businesses who continue to support the Toy Drive each year and thankful to our paramedics for volunteering their time to support our communities. This is truly what the holidays are all about.”
All Toy Drive donations are distributed to local children and families in need by charitable organizations working in partnership with County of Simcoe Paramedic Services. Residents are asked for their continued generosity and support in helping those most in need in our region.
Donations can be made at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre, 1110 Highway 26 in Midhurst between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and at all County of Simcoe paramedic stations, where outdoor drop boxes are now available (please do not leave monetary donations in drop boxes – only non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys).
