Heat, humidity and even a severe-weather warning weren’t enough to prevent Bradford residents from having fun playing with trucks.
More than 1,000 people came out to celebrate National Public Works Week with the town’s third-annual Touch A Truck event at the Urban Operations Centre at 75 Melbourne Dr. in Bradford on Wednesday evening, May 22.
Guests were able to explore and take photos with more than 15 of the town’s fleet vehicles, some of which included a Zamboni, backhoe and tractors as well as a fire engine from Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services, an ambulance from Simcoe County Paramedic Services and a cruiser from South Simcoe Police Service.
There were also crafts, the opportunity to paint a snowplow, music by DJ Jacster, hula hoop performances by Scarlet Black and even free ice cream and slushies from Mister Treats.
