RBC Bradford makes donation to local food bank (5 photos)

RBC staff were helping out at the food bank last night, after dropping off a large box of non-perishable food items

Staff from the RBC Bradford branch stopped by the Helping Hand Food Bank last night to not only drop off their collection of non-perishable food items, but to stay and help sort them.

Staff were on site for two hours, going through sorting and organizing donations.

The Bradford branch started collecting items for the food drive about a month ago from both staff and customers.

"Our customers are very generous, they also donate a lot," said RBC staff member, Francine Grenon.

Last month, staff also particpated in dress-down Fridays, where money was raised in order to purchase some of the food banks most needed items, like juice boxes.

"Tonight we will deliver the food, plus sort out the things and help," exaplained Grenon upon arrival at the food bank at 5:30 p.m. last night.

The food donation and sorting is something the branch participates in a few times a year, getting staff members involved for a few hours after-work.

At Christmas time, the team will be doing another collection and donation, in addition to sponsoring a family for the holidays.

Every December, the team at RBC also helps with the distribution of the Christmas hampers for food bank clients at the Holy Martyrs of Japan.
