Friday Harbour Resort is saying so long to summer this Labour Day weekend with their Summer Send-Off Celebration from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2. A variety of family-friendly activities will take place throughout the weekend along the Boardwalk and down by the Beach, including build-a-buddy, face painting, and a mini kids carnival which will feature fun games and activities for the little ones.
Warming campfires on the Pier will serve up s’mores and keep everyone cozy in the evenings. A stellar lineup of performers will be set up at our Pier stage including Jason Mercer, Phill Hood & the Exclamation, Hunter Sheridan, Candice Sand, Coldjack Band, Kenn Lewis Steel Band, and Al Carraro.
On Saturday, the Innisfil Mobile Youth Centre will be on-site offering free skateboards, scooters and other complimentary activity equipment from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Author Effie Mitskopoulos will be signing copies of her book 'Her Art of Surrender' on the Starbucks patio from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. At 9 p.m. a spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky over the Marina with prime viewing spots at the Boardwalk and Beach.
On Sunday, the Red Bull Wings Team will roam the Resort offering free samples. For those seeking Sunday night entertainment, there will be a screening of Jumanji at 8 p.m. outside on the Pier with free popcorn!
Beachgoers can grab lakeside bites at the Beach Club Window. Food trucks including Greek Street Eats, Nani’s Gelato, Dandy Cotton Candy, Food Cabbie, Beaver Tails, and Dairy Best Ice Cream will be serving up delicious offerings along the Boardwalk all weekend long. The Pier Bar will feature their signature grilled burgers, sausages, and vegetarian delights along with refreshing cocktails. For a delicious dinner, Guests can make a reservation at Fishbone Kitchen + Wine Bar. FH Fine Food will have complimentary tastings from some of our favourite vendors including Grandmother’s Tarts, Saputo Cheese, and our new keto feature Love Good Fats.
Visitors are invited to donate to FH Fine Food’s Food Drive to benefit the Innisfil Life Centre. Guests can take a moment to explore the LCBO which has opened its doors on the Boardwalk and ADM Design Inc. which will feature décor by local designers and original artwork!
