ALLISTON – YouthReach Simcoe County, YouthWing, Angel Hair For Kids and Karma Hair Salon are proud to announce THE BIG EVENT!
Tuesday, June 22, 2021, 4 p.m.

Isaac Vestby is a senior student attending Banting Memorial Highschool in Alliston, Ont. Through his extensive volunteer work and leadership initiatives, Isaac is proud to be a part of a supportive community. For those who know him, Isaac’s long hair is easily one of his most recognizable traits, many people can’t imagine him without it!
To end his high school career with a bang, on June 22 2021, Isaac will be donating his hair with a fundraiser, THE BIG EVENT, with proceeds going to two incredible local charities; Angel Hair For Kids and YouthReach.
Isaac, always full of optimism, has set a goal $5,000 to split between the charities. He needs your support! Covid restrictions pending, the event is intended to be held outside at the Karma Hair Salon in Alliston. There will be a raffle for gift baskets available and donations will be accepted online through https://youthreach.ca/thebigevent/.
Isaac hopes his friends, family and community will join him in person (socially distanced) or online, for this event, a fundraiser to help create wigs for children and to help youth participate in extracurricular activities in Simcoe County.

About Isaac Vestby: Isaac Vestby is a senior student attending Banting Memorial Highschool in Alliston, Ontario. Through his extensive volunteer work and leadership initiatives, Isaac is proud to be a part of a supportive community. For those who know him, Isaac’s long hair is easily one of his most recognizable traits, many people can’t imagine him without it! Isaac has been a two-time recipient of a YouthWing grant from YouthReach, which is awarded to a young person who steps up into a leadership role, through activity or sport. The YouthWing grant process is led by the young person themselves including, putting a leadership development plan together, presenting that plan to the Award Committee, and then sitting with the Board of Directors to present this plan. Isaac has completed this process twice, demonstrating his commitment to giving back and pursuing his leadership capacity.
About YouthReach: Founded in 2015, YouthReach is a Simcoe County charity committed to helping families enroll their children into programs they may not be able to afford. They provide grants to join structured skills-based programs that support a child’s growth and development.
About Angel Hair For Kids: Every year thousands of Canadian children lose their hair to cancer treatments, alopecia and other medical causes. Founded in 2002, Angel Hair For Kids is a special program unlike any other and is the only one of its kind in Canada. Recipients are given a personal appointment at a salon that specializes in wigs and hair loss. Using hair and financial donations generously donated to the program, Angel Hair For Kids provides wigs and hair systems to recipients at no cost to the child’s family.
