What will you be, for Halloween?

Halloween Fest. The Bradford Barn event centre, 3287 Line 9 in BWG, hosts a ‘Heck’ of a Halloween Fest on Friday, Oct. 25 from 8 p.m. until midnight – with live band, barbecue fare, and prizes for the best costumes. Tickets are $15 in advance online, or $20 at the door.

Halloween Dance at the Lefroy-Belle Ewart Legion, located at 1017 Robinson St. in Belle Ewart, Innisfil, October 26 starting at 7 p.m. Music with DJ Muddy Mix, prizes for best costumes – tickets only $10 per person, available at the Legion or call 705-816-2576.

Halloween Music Bingo & Spaghetti Dinner. Dress up in your scariest costume, and come out to the Bradford Legion on Saturday, Oct. 26 for an evening of Halloween Music Bingo, and a Spaghetti Dinner. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. – and the evening will include prizes, cash bar and Music Bingo, only $25 per person. The event is a fundraiser for The Oddballs, a local team that participates in the annual cycling Ride to Conquer Cancer, raising funds for cancer research. Spooktacular Family Event at the Library. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, families are invited to the BWG Public Library & Cultural Centre for a Halloween Spooktacular with games, crafts, a scavenger hunt and more. Free drop in program at the library, 425 Holland St. W., sponsored by the Friends of the BWG Public Library. No registration required. Recommended for ages 2 and up. Remember to wear a Halloween Costume!

Halloween Fun at the Elman Campbell Museum, 134 Main St. S. in Newmarket, Oct. 26 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Halloween crafts, pumpkin hunts, scavenger hunt, Candy Guess, table top activities, light refreshments and loot bags – for ages 4 to 10, with adult supervision. Trick-or-Read Halloween Storytime. The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library hosts Trick-or-Read Storytime, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Lakeshore Branch of the library, 967 Innisfil Beach Road. Families are invited to dress up in costume to share stories, sing songs, pose in front of the green screen, and trick-or-treat. Free all-ages event.

Halloween Boo-nanza. The Cookstown branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is participating in Boo-Nanza, Oct. 26 from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Includes Storytime at the Cookstown library, green screen photos, and trick-or-treating in the village, plus a free hot dog barbecue at 19 Queen St. thanks to the Cookstown Chamber of Commerce. Free all-ages event.

50th Annual Halloween Haunted Bash. The Village Inn. Saturday Oct. 26. Prizes for best costume. 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. 

An Evening of Halloween. The Simcoe County Museum, 1151 Hwy. 26 north of Barrie, hosts An Evening of Halloween, Oct. 28-30 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Games, activities and treats for all ages. Enter Halloween Trivia, visit with the scary, crawly and friendly animals of ZooTek, stalk the Terror Trail, check out the Hay Bale Maze – and the Boo Barn for the younger tots,then follow the Pumpkin Trail for hot chocolate. Both indoor and outdoor events. Dress for the weather, and the season. Costumes encouraged. Adults $8, students and Seniors $6, children $5.

Spookytime at the Library. On Thursday, Oct. 31, the BWG Public Library and Cultural Centre at 425 Holland St. W. hosts Spookytime storytime for kids ages 18 months to 4 years old, accompanied by an adult. Spooky stories, rhymes, crafts and trick-or-treating at the library, on Halloween from 10 to 11 a.m. Free, but please pre-register.  Remember to wear a costume!
