Local law firm Oatley Vigmond is hosting its first ever Accessible Halloween Village event, which is a curbside trick-or-treat experience that allows children with disabilities to enjoy a traditional Halloween celebration.
Organizers say the inaugural event will take place on Oct. 29.
“We’re excited to be partnering with other local businesses to create a fun, safe, and accessible Halloween experience for all families in our community,” says Karen Vigmond, a partner with Oatley Vigmond. “This event will help to create greater awareness within the community of how to remove barriers and create a more welcoming, inclusive environment for all.”
The event begins at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, and will be located at the firm’s offices at 151 Ferris Lane in north Barrie.
To ensure the fun and safety of all, Oatley Vigmond is asking people to pre-register for the event. They are asking for information regarding what types of barriers families and individuals are facing.
