A crowd of customers, elected officials and industry guests braved the chilly Saturday morning to be first through the doors during Vince’s Market grand opening.

The new Sharon location, adjacent to this independent grocer’s original store, is significantly larger at 14,700 square feet. It includes new features and customer experiences, along with expanded departments to better serve the growing East Gwillimbury community. Enter the store and turn right, and a stone-hearth pizza oven will catch the eye. Here, hand-thrown pizza dough is freshly topped for customers, who can order their pizzas whole or by the slice. Adjacent is a large display of grab-and-go prepared items (sandwiches, chicken dinners, and more.), and an extensive self-serve hot foods department for quick, healthy and delicious meals.

Other convenient options include a larger salad and soup bar. Or for something more exotic, sushi – along with noodle and rice teriyaki bowls – made fresh daily in store. For larger gatherings, these can be ordered as custom party platters. The aisles include a selection of international and domestic VQA wines, and a spacious walk-in beer cooler offers a variety of big-brand and craft brews.

Also new to Vince’s is a Community Kitchen. This will be located in the mezzanine, where customers can sit down for a quick meal, or take part in programming to include cooking classes, demos, and an opportunity rent the space for parties and events – all starting in 2020.

Over the years, the company has become known for their fruits and vegetables, and continues its commitment to fresh produce with an even larger department. Produce has indeed helped build a loyal clientele, many of whom have been with Vince’s for decades. Like one longtime patron who admitted to shopping at the store for 57 years – since it was a roadside produce stand.

Although Vince’s has grown to a five-store operation, it remains family owned and operated, with a personal approach to customer service. “We are proud of our new store, and of the growth we’ve achieved over the past few years,” said partner Giancarlo Trimarchi. “But at the same time, we stick to our small-town roots. Many of our customers and staff are on a first-name basis, and as owners and management, we are very hands-on. You can reach us directly if you have any concerns, or would like to see something on our shelves.”

Giancarlo invites customers to drop by and explore their new location, with its new features, new products, and familiar faces.
