Nottawasaga Futures is now offering speed dating — for businesses.

The organization was established to provide support to businesses in South Simcoe — from loans, to consulting services, to advice on business retention and expansion.

On Nov. 22, Nottawasaga Futures and a team of consultants are offering what they are calling Small Business Speed Consulting.

Similar to speed dating, consultants will provide information in quick one-on-one sessions with the aim of helping local business owners succeed.

“This is our second speed consulting event,” said Colleen Gouldson, CEO of Nottawasaga Futures. “The goal of the event is to expose local businesses to the types of consulting available in our community, and to help them determine what resources they need the most.”

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Gibson Centre, 63 Tupper St. W. in Alliston, business owners will be able to talk with consultants about marketing and social media, finance, general business and start-up information, accounting, and legal advice.

All of the consultants are local business professionals.

“Currently, we have an accountant, a lawyer, a social media specialist, a banking specialist, and our in-house team,” said Gouldson. “We will also be offering first-stage approvals for micro loans at the event.”

Networking with other business owners will also be part of the evening, and light refreshments will be served.

The event is free, but registration is required. Please email [email protected] or call 1-800-509-7554.

“All small- to medium-sized businesses can benefit, whether they be a startup or established businesses looking to grow,” Gouldson said.
