SATURDAY, JULY 27

Free Community Barbecue

July 27 from noon to 2 p.m.

Stroud Arena, Innisfil 

Barrie-Innisfil MP John Brassard and MPP Andrea Khanjin invite constituents and residents to a free Community BBQ on July 27 at the Stroud Arena on Yonge Street from noon to 2 p.m. Enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza, and fun activities for the whole family. 

Innisfil Pride Festival

Saturday and Sunday

Free admission.

Innisfil Pride Celebrates Innisfil Pride Week with a Festival at Arcadia Park, 1263 Line 3 in Innisfil. Sat., July 27 from 1 p.m. to dusk, and Sun., July 28 from 11 a.m. to dusk, families are invited to come out and support the LGBTQ2S+ community and their friends and allies. Buddy Paddles Simcoe

July 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Leonard's Beach, 2689 Leonard St. in Innisfil

Paddle for Buddy, one of C.O.P.E.'s first service dogs now retiring, and for student mental health. Takes place on Lake Simcoe (2K, 5K, 15K or 25K options available) in support of C.O.P.E. Bradford Farmers’ Market

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

BWG Public Library, 425 Holland St. W., Bradford

Enjoy live music, meet local community groups, and find produce from the Holland Marsh and beyond, including plants, flowers and herbs, honey, dairy products, maple syrup, cured meats, free-run eggs, baking, preserves, as well as a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and handmade arts and crafts.

Alliston Farmers’ Market

8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

51 Victoria St. E., Alliston

You will find warm, out-of-the-oven baked goodies, jams, jellies, honey, syrups, crafts, plants, local potato chips, meats from local farmers and, of course, fruits and veggies. Come enjoy some good food, meet new friends, and have fun.

Barrel Races

The Ontario Barrel Racing Association's Wild Runs of Summer, hosted by Essa Speed Horse Club, takes place July 26-28 at the Essa Agriplex, which is located north of BWG, near Thornton, at 7505 10th Line in Essa Township. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
