In partnership with the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT), the Town of BWG is thrilled to launch its 2023 "Light Up BWG" contest – an outdoor holiday decorating competition open to all BWG residents and businesses.
Starting Dec. 1, residents and business owners are invited to transform their homes and storefronts into dazzling displays of lights, ornaments, and seasonal decorations.
"We are excited to announce the Light Up BWG contest to our community. This is a wonderful opportunity for residents and businesses to come together, showcase their holiday spirit, and share in the magic of the holiday season."

Register your home or business for the Light Up BWG contest from Dec. 1-17 using our online form. The community can vote for their favourite storefront display between Dec. 18 and 21. On the evening of Thursday, Dec. 21, Council will make their way to each of the participating locations and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact!
Contest Details
Residents and businesses can register to participate at www.townofbwg.com/lightupbwg, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Dec. 1 to 11:59 pm on Dec. 17.
Prizes will be awarded for:
Business Category
- Community Award
Community members can vote for their favourite storefront display online between Dec. 18 to 11:59 pm on Dec. 21.
- Council’s Choice
Council will tour the participating locations on the evening of Dec. 21 and judge the entries based on creativity, uniqueness, and overall impact.
Residential Category
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (judged by council).
Winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 22.
