If you still have lots of yard waste, there is still time to kick it to the curb.

Simcoe County is extending its yard waste pickup in Bradford West Gwillimbury an additional week — from June 25-29.

The truck may come any time during those days, so residents must have their yard waste at the curb by Monday at 7 a.m.

Residents should use paper or compostable yard waste bags, cardboard boxes, or open-ended rigid containers, such as a garbage can.

Twigs and branches should be bundled securely.

The entire bundle must be no bigger than two metres long, 30 centimetres wide, and individual branches must be no greater than 12 cm.

As well, new this year, it is no longer free to drop off large pieces of a tree at the dump. There is now a cost based on weight.
