SOFTBALL

Under-10

Vince's Market beat Flemming Properties 11-7. The game came down to pitching, primarily in the first and third innings. Leah pitched a strong first inning allowing only one run. Josie went on to match Leah with her own one-run third inning. In the field, Nick made a couple of stops at second, which denied any further runs from coming in. In particular, he grabbed a fly ball on one hop and stepped on second to end the 3rd inning.  At the plate, Vince's Market was led by Nathan with a two-run home-run in the first inning.

The Bradford Storm U10 division wrapped up during a beautiful weekend of baseball. The Storm came ready to play! Kumi Canada played some close games, but was eliminated in a tie-breaker by a late-surging Bradford Academy of Music. Vince’s Market took their strong regular season play into the playoffs, but lost in the semi-final. A great season from all of our teams and a huge thank you to everyone involved!

Under-12

Teams wrapped up the season over the past weekend where Roy Gordon Law fought hard through four games on Saturday, and finished in 2nd place.  Dissette Animal Hospital finished in 3rd.  Congratulations to East Gwillimbury for capturing the championships. We’ll see you next season!

Bradford Select Fastball

Bradford's Peewee Select fastball team had a season to be proud of, winning four tournament golds and representing the Storm at Provincials. The team faced a tough schedule at the OSSTA finals and lost out to Topham Park. Congratulations to the whole team on an amazing season!

Under-20

Bradford's two teams faced off against each other ahead of playoff action. Red beat out Navy 18-10. Cameron G. hit a homerun over the fence and well into the next diamond, Nathan G added to the score as well with a deep centre field hit. The playoff championship went to Stoufville's Moller Insurance. A big thank you to our team's coaches, volunteers, players, and sponsors.

HARDBALL

Under-9

Carron Farms won over Innisfil 3 18-10 thanks to outstanding defensive play by Logan, Cambryan, Hayden, Jake, and Reyer.

On offence, the bats were hot! Harrison had a hot bat with a grand slam and a double. Andrew hit a solo home run and a double. Hayden, Andrew, Harrison, Logan, Jake, Reyer, Chase, Cambryan, Dylan and Alex contributed solid singles. The entire team worked hard to secure the win and third place in the U9 division.

Rookie Select playdowns wrapped up in Bradford over the weekend. The 15-1 team faced a tough schedule and could not hold on to their winning streak. In a heartbreaking loss, the boys finished the season short of making the Provincials. The team came together on and off the field in a season they can be proud of!

Under 11

The weekend saw the final tournament for the 11U teams and it did not disappoint, with marathon games going into extra innings, and come-from-behind wins. The final showdown required the full three games to decide. In the end, Bradford's Anatolia Tile and Stone finished in second place. Many Hands, Doing Good fought hard for a respectable third place finish. A great weekend and a great way to end the season!

Under-13

Another division final for the 13U teams. Bradford's Team 1 made it to the semifinals in Pool B of the South Simcoe Minor Baseball Association (SSMBA) finals, losing 11-10 to New Lowel #2. Team 2, with only seven players, made it to the semifinals in Pool A of the SSMBA finals, losing 14-2 to Everett.
