BASEBALL: Recap for local games week of August 12-18 (4 photos)

The Bradford Minor Baseball Association are almost done for the season, with all but one division wrapped up

Softball

Blastball, the Storm's youngest players, finished up their fun introduction to baseball and are looking forward to tball next season. A big thank you goes to Bradford Rental for their sponsorship and to the hardest working coaches you could hope for!

Tball finished up this past week as well. Eight teams worked hard and grew in all areas over the season. There would not be a successful Tball division without the amazing volunteer coaches and sponsors, Genesis Gymnastics, Kidergy, Frydays, Back Alley Cruisers, Home Hardware, and Reginos Pizza.

U14 softball is wrapping up with the Storm's two teams, Summerlyn Dental and MJK Electric hanging on to great seasons as they head into playoffs this weekend in Bradford at the Community Centre diamonds Saturday and Sunday.

U16

Bradford teams took 4th, 3rd, and 1st place in the U16 division finals held in Bradford during Carrot Fest weekend. Vaughan Chrysler held on in a nail bitter of a finish to end the season in 4th place. Team Navy took the Bronze, leaving Be Well Chiropractic in the finals against EG's Utlimate Car. After a slow start, Be Well took the lead in the 4th inning and continued to build on the momentum from a shut-down 5th inning, taking a 5 run lead into the 7th open inning.  A strong play on a ground ball to shortstop, followed by a pair of strikeouts sealed the win for Be Well! Congrats to all three teams and a huge thank you to their coaches and volunteers!

U20

The oldest BMBA division wrapped up with Bradford's Team Navy in 5th place overall and Team Red making it to a 3rd place finish. Thank you's to the Coaches, players, parents, and volunteers for a great season!

Hardball

9U

Hardball came to a close for the 9U players. Bellamy Sports finished in 3rd place while Carron Farms took 2nd overall. A great season for all of the teams, A&W High Voltage, Lomonte & Collings Insurance, and Ryan's Landscaping. There wouldn't have been a season without the coaches and sponsors. See you next year!

15U

Bradford Men's Slo-Pitch League beat out Orillia 15-9 in game one of their playoffs. Their second and final playoff game is set for August 19th at home on Joe Magani diamond 2 at 8:30pm.
