The Bradford Rattlers hosted the West Nipissing Lynx on Sunday, Jan. 15, with the team's first-ever themed night featuring the Halo Spartans.

The Bradford Rattlers welcomed members of the 405th legion and members of the Canadian regiment, a costume and props design group that specializes in Halo costumes and props.

None other than the Master Chief would partake in the evening's official puck drop, with the flag bearers standing his wings.

The opening game would start strong, with the Rattlers achieving two goals. The first was by Stepan Levitskiy at 8:29, followed by Paval Rozhkov at 17:11 to end the first period with a 2-0 lead.

The second period would continue to see the Rattlers dominate as they scored four uncontested goals. Two goals by Arvid Malm at 2:25 and 6:27 would be accompanied by goals from Jesper Eriksson at 5:30 and Swen Meusy at 18:23.

The Rattlers would continue on the attack in the third with a goal by Jacob Rhodin at 1:38 and Dylan DiTomaso at 16:41. However, the Rattlers would give up their shut-out chance with a West Nipissing goal coming with just 15 seconds left in the game by Stephane Philion.

We welcome everybody to a special event night on Sunday, Jan. 29, when the Bradford Rattlers will have their game LIVE on Rogers TV (Channel 10). The Bradford Rattlers support the Bradford Foodbank and encourage all fans to bring a non-perishable food item to the game on the 29th.
