A celebration of community hockey returned to Bradford West Gwillimbury on Saturday.
The 15th annual Hockey Day in BWG took place at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre with an indoor ball hockey tournament. U7 teams from the BWG Minor Hockey Association competed against each other in a fun mini-tournament.
The ice in the community centre was divided into two, allowing two games to be played at once.
Sixty kids making up six U7 teams participated. Each participant received a medal from Bradford’s mayor and councillors.
Upstairs in the auditorium, there were hockey-themed games and face painting, and the Bradford Lions Club served coffee, hot chocolate and pancakes as a fundraiser.
