Peter Hubrich passed away peacefully on Friday October 29, 2021 at Ottawa General Hospital in Ottawa surrounded by his loving family.
Born in 1942 in Halle Saale Germany, he was the youngest of three children born to the late Erne and Joseph Hubrich.
Peter worked tirelessly every chance he had, and spent most of this life working at Crown Metal Packaging, where his dedication to the company earned him many promotions and lifelong friendships - special thanks to Wanda Reardon and Bill Pearle.
He enjoyed relaxing on a beach, or a sunny outside patio with a cold beer in hand. His other favourite pastimes included spending time with family, watching blockbuster movies and National Geography documentaries. Peter was a competitive swimmer in his youth and continued his passion for swimming as long as he could.
Peter Hubrich is survived by his wife of 35 years, Anna, daughters Chantal (Kingsley Munu) and Lisa Slack (Ken), son Raymond (Niloofar), his four grandchildren Jacob, Derek, Iyla and Atilla, sisters Christa Vanderburg (John) and Renata Rux (Franz Sahlman) , many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He is predeceased by his son Michael.
Special Mention and thanks- Doctors and all staff on 6-E for their hard work and dedication and specifically, Dr. Chin for his compassionion towards Peter, Memorial services will be held at St.Martin de Porres church on 3891 Old Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON, K2H 5C1, starting at 12pm.
