Passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Ed Thibodeau of Port Rowan in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Estelle (Henry) Thibodeau who predeceased him May 20, 2017. Dear father of Bev & husband Kent Dagneault of Barrie and Barry & wife Janet of Port Rowan. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Ted (Mary) Hampson, Jason (Meghan) Hampson, Holli Hampson (Robin Dubeau) all of Barrie, Tracey Thibodeau-Graves of Tillsonburg, Craig (Jenni) Thibodeau of Tillsonburg and great grandchildren Tatiana, Kristine & Abbigale Hampson, Matthew, Cole & Hannah Hampson, Alaetra & Kieran Graves, Eris and Dagon Thibodeau.
Ed served for over 25 years in the Canadian Armed Forces having lived on many military bases across Canada and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Estelle was the love of his life and together in retirement they enjoyed there homes in Florida, Barrie and Port Rowan making many friendships along the way. Their favorite pastime was a good game of golf and now have been reunited on the greatest golf course of all.
A memorial service will be conduced at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Monday August 26, 2019 at 1:00pm followed by a reception in the Clubhouse of the Village of Long Point Bay. Inurnment in Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be sent at www.gffh.ca
