Angus man charged after report of erratic driving in Bradford

A 39-year-old man was charged with several offences including drug impaired and dangerous driving after a citizen called 911 to report an erratic driver travelling southbound on Yonge Street in Bradford.  

On Friday, Dec. 24, 2021, at approximately 3:45 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers located the vehicle parked in a plaza in the area of Yonge Street and 8th Line. The driver was arrested. Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Derrick Stoodley of Angus was charged with Operation While Impaired by Drug, Dangerous Operation and Possession of Drugs.  

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a future court date.
