Arrest made following theft of $2K worth of baby formula from Holland Street grocery store

A 49-year-old North York man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant regarding a shoplifting incident last year.

On April 29, 2019, a man at a grocery store on Holland Street West in Bradford stole a quantity of baby formula valued at nearly $2,000 and walked out of the store without paying. A warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest.

On Saturday, Jan. 26, 2020, South Simcoe Police Service was contacted by Toronto Police regarding the outstanding warrant.

A SSPS officer went to Toronto where a man was taken into custody and charged with theft under $5,000.

The 49-year-old accused was released with a future court date.
