A worker at an Aurora golf course discovered the body of a man in a pond early this morning.

York Regional Police received the call at about 6:30 a.m. July 12 about the deceased adult male in the pond at the Beacon Hall Golf Club, according to Const. Laura Nicolle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the death does not appear to be suspicious, she said.

The pond is near the 10th hole on Beacon Hall Drive, near Vandorf Sideroad, at the private golf course and gated community, according to a resident.

The course remains open, however, the 10th and 11th holes are closed for the police investigation.

More details will be provided when available.
