Bradford driver accused of hitting parked cars charged with impaired

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot

A 38-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving related offences following a fail to remain collision involving three parked cars.

On Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019 around 1 a.m., police were called to the Summerlyn Trail and 8th Line area after a vehicle struck a parked car, pushing the car into two other parked vehicles. The vehicles were unoccupied and no one was hurt. The driver fled the scene on foot. A suspect was arrested nearby and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings of twice the legal limit.  

A 38-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving, over 80, dangerous driving and failure to stop after accident.

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
