Bradford driver charged after hitting hydro box

The South Simcoe Police Service has charged a Bradford man with failing to remain at the scene of a collision following a property damage incident in Bradford.  
On Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at approximately 3:15 p.m., police responded to the Cousteau Drive and Summerlyn Trail area. A caller reported a vehicle had mounted the curb, drove onto a front yard, and struck a hydro box on the lawn before leaving the scene without stopping.  A child was playing on the front lawn at the time. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

As a result of the investigation, 42-year-old Ramesh Periasamy of Bradford was charged with Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident.
