On Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, at 3:35 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle parked in an area under construction off Yonge Street near the 4th Line in Innisfil.

The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants from SSPS and another police service.

A search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of drugs and a replica handgun.

30-year-old Jeremy Wilcox of Bradford was arrested on the outstanding warrant for robbery, several firearms offences and assault with a weapon following an incident in Bradford in April.

Upon arrest, he was also charged with two counts of Failure to Comply With Judicial Release and Breach Firearms Prohibition.

He was released with a future court date and transported to the other police service where he was arrested for that outstanding warrant.
