Bradford man charged with assault

On Friday, July 20, 2018 around 5:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the Colborne Street and 8th Line area of Bradford regarding a domestic dispute.

The caller told police the dispute involved a man and a woman inside a vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle north of the 8th Line on Professor Day Drive. The driver was a 27-year-old man from Bradford and the passenger was his 19-year-old girlfriend.

Based on information gathered at the scene, the driver was arrested and transported to South Division.

He was charged with assault and released with a future court date and conditions to stay away from the victim.

The victim declined medical aid.
